GPS Ministry Not wanting anyone to perish, But everyone to come to repentance. - Bishop.P.Stephen Prasad

9 REASONS that I PRAY FOR INDIA :

Prayer places us in the posture of dependency on God, reminds us of His promises, and acknowledges His ultimate power and provision.
»   When I think of the enormity of India’s need and the magnitude of its numbers, it’s easy to become overwhelmed.
»   God, however, is not surprised by any of it and He invites you and I to participate in His great plans for India through the power of prayer.
»   What an awesome privilege and responsibility!
»   With all the needs in the world, you might wonder why it’s important to pray specifically for India.

Here are 9 REASONS that I pray for India:
(1) Population : 1 out of every 6 people on earth lives in India! India’s population is continuing to grow and is anticipated to exceed China’s population to become the world’s most populated nation within the next 15 years.
(2) Children : In Matthew 19:14, Jesus says, “Let the little children come to me.” Almost ½ of India’s population is made up of children under the age of 18. And 1 in every 5 kids on earth is born in India.
(3) Social Injustice & Oppression : India is a land of tremendous needs. Men, women, and children suffer from caste discrimination, female infanticide, bride burning, slavery, human trafficking, child labor, and religious prostitution, just to name a few.
(4) Extreme Poverty : Almost 75% of people in India live on less than $2.50 a day. Families go hungry and suffer from malnutrition. And without an education, most have no hope for a brighter future.
(5) Illiteracy : Over 273 million adults in India are illiterate. That means 1 in every 4 adults is unable to read or write. Illiterate adults are vulnerable to being cheated by dishonest employers and marketplace vendors. They are also more likely to fall prey to human trafficking. Illiteracy is passed from parents to children, perpetuating the cycle of poverty for generations.
(6) Superstition : Many Indians follow Hinduism and are desperate to appease the gods. Fearfully, many consult witch doctors and village priests to learn which sacrifices and rituals are necessary to appease the gods. However, in certain areas, a woman may be blamed for a family’s illness, crop failure, or a dry well and may then be accused of practicing black magic. The possible consequences for being accused of practicing black magic or witchcraft is abuse, torture, and even death.
(7) Searching : India is the birthplace of some of the world’s major religions including Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and Sikhism. Known as a land of spirituality and philosophy, India is a land searching for truth … and it’s more open to the Gospel message today than ever before.
(8) Unreached : India has almost 2,000 unreached people groups. With 400+ million who have never heard the name of Jesus, India is the most unreached nation in the world. China comes in second, with 456 unreached people groups.
(9) Persecution : India is ranked in the top 25 countries where Christians are facing the most persecution. Hatred against Christians is instigated by anti-Christian extremists. Reports of beatings of pastors and church members are frequent. In some instances, Christians are killed for their faith.

MY TESTIMONY

Greetings in the Precious Name of Our Saviour Jesus Christ. My name is Bro.P.Stephen Prasad; I was born and brought up in a normal Hindu family . I hail from Scindia of Gandhigram Mandal, Visakhapatnam District, Andhra Pradesh. I knew of Jesus Christ as one of the millions of gods and I would also worship other Hindu gods, which are idols, and followed their customs.. I was against the Christianity of Christ and I would not attend outside prayers being conducted in my area. Instead I would complain and grumble to them not to do all such things.
One day my right hand fractured because of an accident and I went to the hospital. My hand was put into a cast but even after four months the pain was still very bad. One day a Christian lady came to me and told me about Jesus Christ and also that He is the Healer. I argued with her and criticized her. She wrote out a Scritpure for me and told me to read it and I did before bed that night. That very night I dreamed that someone’s hand came to me and touch me. I was very afraid, but then I saw a vision of Jesus on the cross.
The note that she gave me was this verse in Isaiah 41:13 "For I am the LORD, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you." From that day I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. That was in 1994. And my hand was healed! Praise the Lord!
I was the first in my family to believe in Christ; I am the youngest. After accepting Jesus Christ I was baptized at the age of 18 years. I continued praying, and slowly, one by one, God has changed my whole family and they have all become Christians. Act 16:31! After three years my parents accepted Jesus Christ After 3 Years. I went on and completed a Master of Business Administration in the Year of 2003. I have had many opportunity to get a good job, but I chose a Heavenly Job instead and to work fulltime for Jesus Christ and His Kingdom to win souls and make disciples.

STATEMENT OF FAITH :

»   We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.
»   We believe that there is one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
»   We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through
His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
»   We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful people, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.
»   We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
»   We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved
unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
»   We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.

» We believe in the name of the father, son and Holy Spirit as trinity in the world.
» We believe after death, eternal life begins with the lord Jesus Christ in his kingdom.
» We believe in the name of lord Jesus Christ who has been having authority in that name.
» We believe in the second coming of lord Jesus Christ.

SOCIO ECONOMIC STATUS :

»    Poverty is the main key factor in deciding the social status of this project area people, who are predominantly recruited as land laborers, wood cutters, housemaids, and illiterates and due to their educational status, who eventually cannot bargain for a better deal.
»   Cultivation is the main occupation and hence incidence of crop failures due to inclement natural calamities is commonly experienced.
»   So the assured income from this employment is very meager and they turn as bonded laborers and social evil ‘poverty’ prevails in their families.
»   We Need Your Prayers For This Ministry Appeal.
»    We, Gospel to the Perishing Souls Ministries make this appeal whole-heartedly please pray fervently and remember us in your love & compassion.
